QUESTIONS? WE'VE GOT YOU.
• What foods can I use it for?
It’s made for foods that need to be lifted, held and drained at the same time. Use it for pakoras, samosas, puris, kachoris, French fries, cutlets, fritters, boiled vegetables, pasta, noodles, momos, dumplings, boiled eggs and more. The jali and perforated sides allow excess oil or water to drain before the food reaches your plate.
• What are the exact dimensions?
The jali spoon tong measures 26.5 × 9 × 2.5 cm.
Its long handle gives you comfortable reach while cooking, while the broad 9 cm mesh jali head provides enough surface area to grip, lift and drain food efficiently.
• Is the handle comfortable to hold?
Yes. The long tong-style handles keep your hand away from hot oil and boiling water while giving you control when gripping and lifting food. The spring action allows you to open, grip and release with one hand.
• Is it made from stainless steel?
Yes. It is made from premium food-grade stainless steel, including the handles, jali and perforated spoon.
• Can it lift heavier fried foods?
It can comfortably grip and lift everyday fried foods such as samosas, kachoris, cutlets, pakoras and similar items. For very large or unusually heavy foods, we recommend using an appropriately sized serving utensil instead.
How do I clean it?
Rinse it soon after use with warm water and dishwashing liquid. Pay particular attention to the jali after frying so oil or food particles do not dry inside the mesh. A soft kitchen brush can be used when required.
Can I use it while deep frying?
Yes. It is particularly useful for lifting foods from hot oil. Grip the food between the two sides, lift it above the kadai for a few seconds and allow excess oil to drain before transferring it to a plate.
Can I use it for boiling and blanching?
Yes. Use it to remove foods from boiling water while leaving the water behind — particularly useful for boiled vegetables, pasta, dumplings, momos, noodles and eggs.
Does the food slip while lifting?
The food is held between two broad spoon surfaces rather than narrow tong tips, giving you more contact with the food. As with any tong, grip gently but firmly and avoid overloading it.
• Can I return or exchange it?
Returns are accepted only if the product received is damaged or incorrect. Please check the product dimensions and scaling image carefully before placing your order. Any issue must be reported within 72 hours of delivery.

Why We Started Meshverse
We started Meshverse because we couldn't find a chai channi that actually held up — good mesh, a handle that didn't wobble, sizes that made sense. So we made our own, tested it more ways than any strainer should need to survive, and it turned out other people wanted the same thing: everyday kitchen tools that don't feel like an afterthought.
